Legacy Games

A look back at Hangman and Poppit!, two mobile games built around word guessing and timed balloon-popping play.

Legacy Games

Two older games I made: Hangman for word guessing, and Poppit! for popping balloons against the clock.

Hangman

Hangman brings the word-guessing game to mobile devices.

Players reveal a hidden word one letter at a time before the drawing is complete. The game includes English vocabulary and German A1 word sets. Its original project covered Android and Windows, with work in C, C++, Java, and Kotlin.

Poppit!

Poppit! offers three ways to pop balloons against the clock.

Poppit! is a timed Android game with three modes: Tap uses touch, Shoot uses aiming, and Blow uses the device microphone. It includes public leaderboards, achievements, and Google Play Games sign-in. The app was initially written in Java and later migrated to Kotlin.
